Dude will spend hours in the most sticky ass jungle looking at bugs. It also took him the entire show to truly understand and accept that he’s gay and in love.

Meanwhile Ed presents as the absolute picture of masculinity, and literally all that man wants is to be clean and comfortable. Bugs and trees? No thank you, fuck that shit. He pointedly has a thing against things being messy or dirty, banning pets because of the waste they produce and cleaning his room when he knows it’s negatively effecting his mental health. And as for the other thing usually the more straight passing one is given the arch of realizing their sexuality and accepting their self. But instead that plot goes to the more obviously camp of the two and Ed knows full well from like day one he already has it down bad. He’s gay? Old news. Completely unphased by wanting to kiss a man and actually does it. Already has an ex.
